BIOART
In my studio/lab I grow paper from a yeast/bacteria culture, and I use the paper to make art. The paper is translucent and smells like vinegar. It conforms to objects and dries to the consistency of a fruit leather. The sculpture I made is of extremophile tube worms and hybrid fossil screens of other life forms that are found in hostile deep ocean waters near volcanic vents.
